I wore my new glittery t-shirt today. Everyone asked about the glitter on my face. And no, Heikal, it didn't end up there by how you imagined!

Also, I now have sparkly boobs. Whoo. Who needs shimmer lotion with a tee like mine?

Instructions: Go to your music player of choice and put it on shuffle. Say the following questions aloud, and press play. Use the song title as the answer to the question. NO CHEATING.

How does the world see me?
My Humps - Black Eyed Peas
(Yes, this really WAS the first song my playlist chose. No joke. The IRONY.)

Will I have a happy life?
Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of - U2
(Referring to my tendency to reminisce?)

What do my friends really think of me?
Party Starter - Will Smith
(I don't think so! Haha)

Do people secretly lust after me?
Unravel - Something Corporate
(What? Whoever's reading try to come up with an explanation for this!)

How can I make myself happy?
Victor's Piano Solo - Corpse Bride
(Piano? Johnny Depp? The song is haunting and wishful. I dunno.)

What should I do with my life?
Senorita - Justin Timberlake
(Wow, my playlist shuffle isn't exactly coming up with insightful songs.)

Will I ever have children?
Best Of Me - The Starting Line
(I take that as a yes?)

What is some good advice for me?
Sunrise - Norah Jones
(Ergo, watch sunrises. They so pretty.)

How will I be remembered?
This Love - Maroon 5
(=\)

What is my signature dancing song?
Get It Poppin' - Fat Joe ft Nelly
(Surprisingly spot on! I like this one.)

What do I think my current theme song is?
Punk Rock Princess - Something Corporate
("If you could be my punk rock princess, I could be your garage band king...." Whoo. Fun, energetic, and slightly angsty. I love Something Corporate =))

What does everyone else think my current theme song is?
Everybody's Changing - Keane
(Somewhat moody. So I think everyone's changing?)

What song will play at my funeral?
Given The Chance - The Starting Line
(Maybe for people to ponder what I would've changed given the chance.)

What type of men/women do I like?
Chasing Rainbows - No Use For A Name
(Idealists?)

What is my day going to be like?
I Will Survive - Cake
(I'm apprehensive about it already.)

Heh, maybe I'll add a couple of lines from these songs later.

Kudos to Fizah for the fun!

I'll miss all of you guys!
And to Ness, looking forward to seeing you. We'll hit the shops when I get there, yes?

The hols are back. Hello to days of seemingly endless slacking, and long sessions of stoning and talking crap at starbucks/arab street/settlers/whichever new hangount we find!

The recently ended semester wasn't a smooth ride per se, what with the deadlines streaming in. But why focus on the sombre details? What I'll probably remember most of the past 4 months are the new faces and friendships made, and the shifting and merging of social circles. The days spent in NLB with our eyeballs glued to the screen, tinkering with photoshop and illustrator. Channeling every last bit of grey matter into coming up with our unique selling point and concept for our Apple product. Regular meet-ups at El-Shiekh.

So although I've had a good share of frazzled moments during projects, the company has never been better. Mass-commers own!

BIG HUGS to everyone.

Right. So today we had a night out. Dinner at TCC, ordered a mongolian chicken chop with yummy sauce, the one which Afiqah goes all out to make sure every forkful we take is dipped in it. And I stole some of Kenneth's oreo cheesecake! =D

Following which, we met more mass commers in the Balcony, the whimsically decorated bar beside the Heeren. Kamiliah and I went to check out its unisex toilet, but it was a lot smaller than I thought. We got a shirley temple, and Jarryl got dared to get into the jacuzzi fully clothed. He dipped his legs in it, proceeded to try sitting on the little inflatable cushion and ended up sinking in a decidedly unceremonious fashion. Needless to say, his pants got wet. On the bus to arab street, he made up songs about the sorrow of having wet pants.

Met Soong for some drinks and a bit of shisha. This time, we got to sit in the comfy sofas inside. I started feeling drowsy pretty fast, I'm not sure if it was from being genuinely tired or the extremely nice chairs. We left earlier than before, and I cabbed home with Kamiliah. Yep, today was a good day. I like Pearlyn's corset top!

Hugs everyone.

Oh, and hello Danial! =P

My attempt to temporarily de-stress.

You Are Fozzie Bear

"Wocka! Wocka!"
You're the life of the party, and you love making people crack up.
If only your routine didn't always bomb!
You may find more groans than laughs, but always keep the jokes coming.

The Movie Of Your Life Is A Cult Classic

Quirky, offbeat, and even a little campy - your life appeals to a select few.
But if someone's obsessed with you, look out! Your fans are downright freaky.

Your best movie matches: Office Space, Showgirls, The Big Lebowski
Hmmm.

You Are Chocolate Fudge Brownie Ice Cream

You just don't know when you've had enough (or too much)!

Reeses Peanut Butter Cups

Very popular, one of you is not enough.
What Kind of Candy Are You?
I love these! Too bad they're not sold here.

Alrighty, one brief update coming right up!

I so want this week to be over already. Apple project and Flash assignment are giving me an almighty headache. Flash has me totally lost.

I'm looking forward to locvid editing. It's gonna be a riot. We've got everyone in my group in the video, and a few others too. I have a feeling our group has one of the few, if not the only production that doesn't have a seriously storyline.

Okay okay, a much better update after Friday, when this is all over.

And big hugs to Perr! <3

Had a relatively good new year's eve. =)

Most years I just spend it at home, but this year I met up with Fariz in the evening. We were gonna watch fireworks with Kenneth at the Esplanade later, but first up was gift-hunting for Brad. Born on new year's! I wonder what it's like to have the nation count down to your birthday with you? Popped into HMV and got Death Cab's latest album for him, then went on to MPH to get a card. Fariz insisted on buying the one with two penguins on the cover. Why? So he could write our names on them. Found a set of coloured pens in Carrefour and went berserk! The interior of the card became a haphazard explosion of colourful messages and doodles. I even included the square, circle and triangle from the bauhaus concept. Brad's a bauhaus fan, who would've thought? Oh yes, and my sparing use of stars in decorating. The final touch was the goofy looking duck complete with party hat and party blower in the corner of the envelope.

Kenneth met us in Coffee Bean at about 9 and we cabbed to the esplanade. It was packed to the brim with people. Just finding a spot to stay in was difficult due to the ongoing current of the crowd. We watched the bands for a while. They were pretty good, but nobody in the audience moved. Only at one point did some audience members begin shaking their butts....to Wonderwall. Aaanyway, midnight finally came and the sky was completely lit with assorted fireworks. Some looked like fairy dust! I tried taking pics with my phone, but the resolution was crappy so I couldn't capture much. Bleh.

We hung around the esplanade after the countdown until we called Brad to come and meet us. Kenneth silently disappeared while Fariz and I were adding more finishing touches to the birthday card. Settled on meeting at the mrt station exit beside St Andrew's Cathedral. The first thing he did upon reaching us was ask for a present. Jokingly, of course. Little did he know I actually got him one! Heh heh. His reaction when I handed him the cd and card was so worth it. His reaction while opening the card was even better! He actually jerked back in surprise at how colourful it was. Rivals the fireworks as best new year's eve moment, in my opinion. =D

After that we were going to head to somerset to take the night rider, but we walked in the wrong direction and ended up in bugis instead. The first 3 buses that came were completely full. We kept walking up the road until we saw a slightly emptier bus approaching the bus stop ahead of us. Made a mad dash towards the bus stop, which was actually unecessary since the bus was still behind us. =P After about 2 hours of waiting, we were finally on our way home. Then I had to walk in the rain after alighting. I hit the sack almost immediately after reaching home, and woke up at 2 today. Haha. But it was a good night! Thanks Fariz and Brad for walking me home!

And once again....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRADFORD!!!

The festive mood is lacking for me.

  • The tree's not up yet, and I won't be home to decorate it. =(
  • There is minimal christmas chocolates in the fridge.
  • I don't have as much time as before to roam shopping malls listening to the cheery christmas carols playing in the background.
  • I'm worrying about projects.
  • I'm worrying about the Med Soc test.
  • etc etc etc.

I'm feeling out of it...and not about anything in particular. Just everything. RAH.

Thursday, December 08, 2005

The continual pile-up of projects is slowly smothering me.

I don't think christmas has looked any better than now. Unlike previous years when it preceded 2 months of vacation, this year's festivity is smack in the middle of film shooting, editing, studying, tests and what have you. My recent days have been full of unpredictable schedules, late nights, and long hours spent sitting down to meetings or in front of the computer grappling with web design. It's the kind of time when I look forward to one day that's constant, and my christmas celebration hasn't changed since I was 10. The midnight mass, afternoon tea at uncle Harvey's, christmas dinner at uncle Barry's, opening christmas crackers, relatives abound. A much needed albeit short break amidst the hectic ongoings.

LocVid's currently my favourite module. I'm looking forward to finalising our storyline and script, and beginning filming. I need actors! Must ask around soon.

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Even though the sound of it is something quite atrocious, if you say it loud enough you'll always sound precocious. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Conflict is most definitely not my area of expertise. Do I just watch everything gradually fall apart?

I need hugs.
